The track which is prevalently on the flat, links the eastern central bank of Lake Maggiore with Varese. The course leaves from behind the FNM station of Cittiglio, then crosses the regions of Gemonio, Caravate, Cocquio Trvisago and Gavirate. At this point it is possible to make the first deviation, following in the direction of Biandronno-Cazzago Brabbia, or you can carry on following the cycle lane along the banks of the lake of Varese, until you reach the areas of Buguggiate, Azzate and Galliate, where the itinerary ends at Cascina Pratovecchio. The route, which is recommended to the class of cyclists which can be classified as ‘weaker’(families with small children, older people etc.), is aimed at those who love lakeside scenery, but who also want to discover the environmental beauty of the area and to discover the art-history in the area. Of particular interest is the view of the city of Varese and of the Sacro Monte
